Overseas Mission and Service Team

Sending people into the world to proclaim the Good News and serve the needy so all may know Jesus and worship him.

Good Shepherd is committed to sharing the Good News overseas. We have partnered in the work of the Lutheran Church Mission Uganda (LCMU) through resources, teaching, and supporting a pastor through Seminary. In March/April 2008, Pastor Peter Steicke and team went to Uganda to resource some local leaders in planting multiplying house churches. Good Shepherd has also developed a relationship with the Cebu Missionary Foundation who work among the very poor in Cebu, Philippines. In 2006 we sent our first mission team to Cebu. Two members from this team returned for ten months in 2007/2008. Two teams also visited in 2008. It is exciting to see God growing a heart for overseas mission at Good Shepherd.

There are various opportunities to be involved in the Overseas ministries of Good Shepherd:
